A Photographer Afloat

The finished result!

January 27, 2016 Leave a Comment

Nearly finished, at least until I have been out in it a few times to resolve a few final issues. The air bags, under their covers made from 6mm closed cell foam exercise mats are in place and inflated. There are gear loops in the stern ‘cockpit, and forward of the bow seat, but I have left the space between the thwart and the bow seat free of lacing for now. This may change once I have paddled the boat, but for now I want to leave myself plenty of room to move around when paddling solo (facing the stern from the bow seat), and so don’t see the need for gear loops there.

About Me

With more than thirty years of paddling and at least a decade of landscape photography behind me, it was only a matter of time before these two passions combined. This blog is about my adventures with canoe and camera, a photographer afloat.
