Sand, sea and sunshine in South Devon

Sometimes one image says it all. On our last day in Dawlish, I stole an hour to go for a quick paddle along the coast to Dawlish Warren and back. Being a little short of time, and also wanting to test my new paddles, bought after snapping a blade in the garage door while packing for this trip, I chose the kayak for this over the Canadian.   The paddles performed just fine, and I enjoyed making a wide loop offshore on the return leg to get a lift with the ebb tide. Coming ashore below the Coastguard cottages, I couldn't resist making this image. It might be March, but it just says everything that's good about a sunny day by the sea...     Continue Reading
